By releasing them you are not placing blame, nor denying they occurred, you are simply allowing yourself to move forward rather than stay in a fixed negative state. Narcissists do not feel they did anything wrong to their targets, so if you’re waiting for an apology, explanation, remorse, or empathy you will be relying on hope, rather than facing reality. Narcs are incapable of providing you what you truly need in a healthy, loving, nurturing relationship. Let it go and you will begin to feel peace within you, and will feel free to heal, recover, and be on your way to rebuilding a new life for “you”.
